For the duration of the ACSMF, rehearsals will be held in a range of spaces and facilities on campus. The below maps are useful guides to help direct you throughout your schedule.
FAQs: Students
I’m a student. Which bathrooms can I use?
Students can access shared bathrooms on the ground floor of the Forder Centre, and front foyer of the Michael Murray Centre for Performing Arts (MMC). The location of all bathrooms can be viewed on the maps provided.
Do I need to wear my lanyard?
Yes. Lanyards must be worn at all times while on the Westminster School grounds. Lanyards are required to provide identification and to provide you with access on campus. There are no replacement lanyards, so please take care of yours.
Where can I fill up my drink bottle?
Drink bottles can be refilled at drink fountains. There are three nearby drink fountains located on either side of the Westminster Green, and one in front of the Michael Murray Centre (MMC) steps.
Can I buy food at Westminster?
Students can purchase snacks from the vending machine located in the Senior School gym corridor. If you are a billet being hosted by Westminster Boarding, you will receive meals with Boarding students in the Forder Centre dining area located on the ground floor. Students cannot make purchases from the Dragon Cafe.
Where do I spend Recess and Lunch?
During recess and lunch, students are welcome to spend time at the Westminster Green or Westminster Senior School Oval.
Where can I store my instrument?
Instrument cases will be provided in various locations. All students should seek the advice of their Ensemble Managers.
Can I take my instrument home?
Yes, at the discretion of your host. Alternatively, Orchestra are welcome to store instruments in Music Studio 2, Forder Centre Level 2. Concert Band are able to store instruments in the Michael Murray Centre (MMC) auditorium.
Where can I store my personal items?
All billeted students will have rooms allocated to store their bags. Personal items required during the Festival should be kept on Level 2 of the Forder Centre.
I’ve lost a personal item. What do I do?
Missing items must be reported to your Ensemble Manager. Please contact ACSMF Administrators, Jaime and Michelle, to follow up missing items.
Is the student event compulsory?
Yes. The student event is compulsory.
Can I bring a friend to the student event?
This event is strictly for ACSMF participants only.
Where is the student event located?
The student event will take place at The Beach House. The Beach House is based in Glenelg, and offers rides and attractions including Dodgem Cars, Bumper Boats, Mini Golf, Games and more.
How do I get to the student event?
Transport to the student event is provided. Buses will depart from the Westminster School gates on Alison Avenue. Dinner will be provided prior to departure.
Do I need spending money?
Spending money is not required. However, students are welcome to bring spending money at their discretion.

I’m a staff member. Which bathrooms can I use?
Staff can access various bathrooms on the first and second floor of the Forder Centre. Shared bathrooms can also be accessed on the ground floor of the Forder Centre, and front foyer of the Michael Murray Centre for Performing Arts (MMC). The location of all bathrooms can be viewed on the maps provided.
Is there an ACSMF staff room?
All staff are welcome to congregate in the Green Room. The Green Room is located backstage behind the Michael Murray Centre for Performing Arts (MMC).
Is there a yard duty?
Yes. Staff members have been allocated to short yard duties to cover recess and lunches throughout the duration of ACSMF. This roster is available below, and can also be found in the Green Room.
Where can I buy a coffee?
Staff can purchase coffees, sandwiches and snacks at the Dragon Cafe. The Dragon Cafe is located on the ground floor of the Forder Centre.
